ok so Sean bench raced me friday like usual. i mean shit i havent been out in a month and hes already at it again. so he gets me lined up with this turbo'd vr6 hatchback. the thing looked really nice, i liked it and give him props it sounded nice too until my open down pipe roar!!

so we go from a 20 roll, traffic was bad and i have been out of the racing scene for so long i forgot how to shift from 1st to 2nd, hit the rev limiter at 7500 hundred then a car cut us off....we line up for a 40 roll, 3rd honk and he gets the jump, gets his rear on my front. 3rd gear i pull him back in and get to his front fender and it was dead even there....we line up for another 40 roll with the same outcome....over all i expected a turbod 6 cylinder light as hatch would crush me from a roll

some kid sean knows, its orange with an intake. we line from a 40 roll and i crush him good...that it is all

dont know the kid but he was in our convoy to steak n sheak, he raced Shanton in front of me and it was dead even, so i flashed shanton to get out of the way and he did...we lined up, goin about 60 i was in 2nd expecting to slow down more, but no i hear his first honk so im sittin at 6500 in 2nd gear. i quickly shift to 3rd just in time for his 3rd honk...we are off and i pull pretty hard on him and crush him too...
it was fun racing again, i went out saturday but just the ricers were out and i wasted 30 bucks on race gas that i didnt get to use....so if anybody is up for a race today let me know before i use it all! lol

oh i hate it when cars hit the rev limiter it just sends chills down my spine 
lol what a long story for the SRT  poor moxhair4 always getin bad reps
I know what you mean though i spent $30 on race gas too (92 shell V-Power - you know the best stuff) and burned most of it racing ricers and cruising around! i could feeel the extra powa from that high octane rating

lol 92....yeah i spent 30 bucks on 5 gallons of 110..but almost the same!
as for hitting the rev limiter. im just glad my car doesnt sound like a stupid honda when it bounces off the limiter, but instead my car just like shut down a bit, could have been worse but once i felt it i remembered my 1st gear is super short and shifted to 2nd before it got ugly

Do you have to use race gas when you race, or is it because you also turn up the boost? What happens if someone wants to race and you don't have race gas put in -- just less Hp?

i use race gas to turn up the boost...although i have been on my race gas settings ever since i had it tuned for pump and race...im too lazy to mess with the afc and turn down the boost...so i could race at 22 psi on pump but there would most likely be some knock and retarding of timing which will hurt....race gas helps prevent knock which then prevents retarding...i think that explains it a bit..
as for the last time someone has beaten me...id have to say way back when i was at 16psi untuned and running like crap my buddy with a 300 whp srt-4 would beat me by a car or two...now that my car is running great it just so happens his is running like crap and he cant figure it out, he just sold all of his aftermarket parts because he was so fed up with it to try to fix the problem..well that and he is 2 months behind on car payment because he doesnt have a job! lol and i think it was about 2 months or a bit more when he beat me...
it bugs me that no f bods want to race me, my buddy with the SS just got it back after wrecking it and he had about 3 or 4 other bolt on f-bods, i walked up and asked which one wanted to lose to a dsm and no one accepted my challange.
its like im to the point where i can beat all the fwd cars from a roll now, but all the rwd cars are sprayed or are like 500+whp so id only stand even the slightest chance from a dig and none of them want to dig race me..im stuck in the middle, in a league of my own! lol hopefully now that im workin again and get caught up on credit cards and after xmas ill be modding again...first thing to come, a real exhaust isntead of an open dp and then cams....

Nice man. Be careful, there are plenty of heavily modded SRT-4's running around there .

I'd race you Wil, but I'm stuck in the armpit of CA, well for a little less than 2 weeks I am stuck in the middle of nowhere northern NV. I'll have to try to swing by some people when I am on the road next year for my road trip, you are in Ohio right? Maybe I can get some decent racing in while on my cross country trek.

i'd race you too but you'd kick my ass with that expensive gas taste your car has, does it only drink fine wine too? 
shit i put 92 in my fairlane once for the hell of it to try and help clean it and blow it out, and it chokes and die's when idle and starting it is a bitch lol
