Gotta love the C5 Z06, the car that all other sports cars are judged by.
  - Slickvic on Friday, June 24, 2005
Z06's own all
  - matt420_c20 on Friday, June 24, 2005
What a BEAST!!!!
  - M3tor2nR on Friday, June 24, 2005
I almost bought the new C6 Z06, but out of all honesty... performance isn't everything.
  - M3tor2nR on Friday, June 24, 2005
Hands down the best performance for the money.
  - shock6791 on Friday, June 24, 2005
That things a BEAST!
  - pzzz on Friday, June 24, 2005
Holy sh*t! I wanna see that Z06 race that bad azz EVO.
  - mlreynolds21 on Friday, June 24, 2005
Great car, I would change the exhaust to something a little more aggresive though.
  - STONECOLD.NYC on Friday, June 24, 2005
What a beast!! I agree with matt420, Z06's own all!! especially the little bavarian M cars
  - gnomes2112 on Friday, June 24, 2005
true it would make a nice race with the evo :)
  - KingPinnn on Friday, June 24, 2005
thats my dog. agree to all of the above. performance bargain. huge power, killer chassis, good brakes. all around can run the strip and the course!!! and its an OHV engine
  - sil350 on Friday, June 24, 2005
Ok Now the corvette is FINALLY what it should be (excluding that 70-80grand price tag) albeit a bargan in these exsuborant price tag days. My only griep... For all that extra doe and great performance gain over the regular vette the z06 SHOULD have its own body style. And on a side note. Carbon fiber rims are on the market. 50% lighter wheels!!!!
  - Xevious2501 on Friday, June 24, 2005
how much are carbon fiber rims?
  - cycloneranga on Friday, June 24, 2005
I expected it to sound like it was going into orbit, yet it sounded really docile.
  - 73porsche911 on Friday, June 24, 2005
Definately needs a more aggresive exhaust note and its seemed peaky. Maybe smooth the powerband out a bit. Sweet car though. That EVO needs to give this vette a go. My money is on the vette. V-power. Vettes own. Want to see a race with this car just get a good judgement of how fast it is. A M3 sounds like a good candidate for the rear view mirror.
  - rock1 on Friday, June 24, 2005
^LOL even a stock Z06 the M3 would be in the rear view mirror. Id compare it to some highly modded cars like that evo or something even more modded.
  - karpetcm2 on Friday, June 24, 2005
^^ id like this Z06 to show some of the SC M3's what his taillights look like. And yes the vette's exhaust is way too tame. Sweet car, hope to see some vids of it racing.
  - x2JaG2x on Friday, June 24, 2005
CORVETTE RULES ALL!!! Especially M3's
  - vipercookie on Friday, June 24, 2005
I dont know about all that Corvette rules all stuff, The viper Was king in the US until the design team made is look like 'A dodge'. Sure GM couldnt stay crushed for over a decade long. Dont get me wrong I do love the new vette, It even out performed the viper on Fifth gear. But never forget For a LONG only the zr1 was a real performer. And the 254mph callaway.sledghammer
  - Xevious2501 on Friday, June 24, 2005
^ yes the viper was the king and it still is an awesome car but it costs way more compared to the C5 Z06, the C5 Z06 also beats the 05 Viper around the track, ofcourse not on a straight line. But with the new C6 Z06 the viper now has some major competition even on the straights. I love the viper and the Z06 i would love to see both in a comparo with the new C6, should be interesting.
  - karpetcm2 on Friday, June 24, 2005
I almost bought the new C6 Z06, but out of all honesty... performance isn't everything. - M3tor2nR on Friday, June 24, 2005 - Sure you did buddy.
  - SpdKilz on Friday, June 24, 2005
that would own that evo so bad!!!
  - mjmarram3 on Friday, June 24, 2005
all of the power is up high, not very streetable I think. I think a smaller turbo or different cam would help.
  - Scooter45 on Friday, June 24, 2005
^^^Its actually very streetable because when your driving to and from work and around town as most would say, you dont want all that power below 3000 rpms so the car feels fairly normal at lower rpms and doesnt give you whiplash all the time and when you need to rev it the power is there and then some. Thats why i really like the turbo set up. Even at lower rpms it will still have good power.
  - karpetcm2 on Friday, June 24, 2005
^^^ Your right the S/C M3's wouldnt stand a chance with this Z06 nor would the 600+ AWHP Evo but off the line the EVO would still win easy but at higher speeds it would get spanked.
  - karpetcm2 on Friday, June 24, 2005
I would much rather own an EVO over a Z06 - although I'm probably alone on that. In my mind, the Corvette has lost the "bling factor" that it once had. Drive up my street, you'll find four Corvettes, three of which are Z06s. None-the-less, this car and the owner still deserves props. This "unrare" Z06 would eat my car alive and I'll give respect where desirved. To the owner: Amazing Job!
  - briguy453 on Friday, June 24, 2005
^ i do agree now a days i do see them more often maybe because there price has dropped due to the new C6. But either way the Z06 price doesnt drop a whole lot and its a great all around car. The Evo is more rare to see but then again its in a totally different class and price range. As we saw it also has potential to make great power, in the end its all about who has the most money and preference.
  - karpetcm2 on Friday, June 24, 2005
SpdKlz: I'm serious. I was real close to ordering the new C6 Z06. I had about $70k to spend on a car and I was torn between the Z06 and the M3. But like I said, performance isn't everything. I wanted 4 seats, luxury, class AND performance. That's why I went with the M3. No regrets at all.
  - M3tor2nR on Friday, June 24, 2005
Wow that makes me wanna vette
  - Stepinfetch on Friday, June 24, 2005
My Sti could take that thing easy...............on a gravel road. LOL. Branden
  - WRX_STI_Guy on Saturday, June 25, 2005
M3tor2nR, you did NOT almost buy a c6 zo6... you couldnt get one in a million years. chevrolet can only make 1000 per year, and if you put a down payment of 2g's on one RIGHT NOW, you will get it in 2009.
  - djfolgerz1 on Saturday, June 25, 2005
I'm sure with $70k I could've gotten a C6 Z06 sooner or later. I'm pretty damn positive.
  - M3tor2nR on Saturday, June 25, 2005
Great power, cool vehicle! One of the best muscle car ever :) Amazing fast from 30 to 130 mph but it wasn't that impressive from 130 to 160 mph. Non the less nice video :)
  - GTRJack on Saturday, June 25, 2005
holy sh*t what poweryou wanna put that up against the 601 evo8, evo will get a slight advantage due to awd but it would be close, what a monster of a car, i have an evo by the way, an evo4
  - superEB110 on Saturday, June 25, 2005
now that is what you call a proper engine, V8 monster though speed an acceleration is nuclear
  - superEB110 on Saturday, June 25, 2005
Very Cool car, the twin turbo Vettes are always faster than the supercharged ones, even at same power, turbos deliver power better. I bet that car would eat that EVO for breakfast plus its alot more streetable and such a cooler car to begin with.
  - shadowchaser on Saturday, June 25, 2005
I don't think theres much of a market for EVO's in the U.S. Who wants to spend 35K for a 4 door car that looks like a shoebox, and has a tiny ass engine? Sure it's pretty quick but for 35K id take a c5 every freakin day of the month.
  - chad21 on Saturday, June 25, 2005
whats cool about that vette is 1000hp could be achieved pretty easily.
  - chad21 on Saturday, June 25, 2005
Nice, you can see how aggressive the acceleration is by how much his seat moves between gears. More than double the stock power!
  - glynn50 on Saturday, June 25, 2005
superEB110, dude, u have an evo 4??? really? r u in the us? shoot...get some footage of it and send it to o-ace so we can see it. even if its not hooked up go find a field or wet parking lot or something. i love evo 4s!
