They once held a competition (Best Motoring) between the best drifter from the USA vs the best drifter from Japan. Unknown car unknown course for both. USA guy looked like a kid doing his first skids. Japan guy totally ripped it up.

drifting is a poser sport. should be considered the special olympic's of motorsport. how bout driving a car as fast as it can go against other drivers and seeing who wins? no? you just want to slide sideways and hold your arm up in the air like an attention whore? fine... im bored, and im changing the channel.

Why all the drift-bashing? The speed, talent, and balls these guys have is simply incredible. Count the crashes in this video. Its totally insane, whats not to like? This pseudo-sport keeps getting better and better!

To each their own I guess hondablows. Some people get off to drifting. I'm guessing its the same people that get off to some old domestic rust-bucket with glasspacks doing a one wheeled burnout in a parking lot. I just appreciate the ones that set the benchmarks. Top Fuel, F1, LeMans Series. Some how they just feel much more professional, and are much more entertaining to watch, but that's just me. If I had to choose I'd say its a toss up between F1 and LeMans. I enjoy seeing high tech machines backed by their manufacturers in direct competition with competitors and the technology used eventually making its way on to road cars. The spectrum of the sport seems so much more... well... I'm sure you can understand what I mean by now.

^dontcare & durango007 If you are saying drifting isn't a proper motorsport, it's like saying figure skating isn't a proper sport. Going fast isn't the only thing a car can do.
