Actually buddy, isn't the 2JZGTE one of the strongest blocks/engines built to date from the factory?
  - CaliAgents88 on Thursday, January 30, 2003
probably going for streetable reliable power.
  - rulingchaos on Thursday, January 30, 2003
fstbmwm3: both of these motors are inline-6s, but the Supra's able to pull 1000more rpm than the E36 M3s.The block is stronger on top of that.I think the Japanese make incredible cars--I'd stuff one of these motors in my M3 and never worry about the German vs. Japanese thing. I'd laugh at NE1 who'd say that to me after I pulled 10 car lngths on him down the front straight of any race track.

dont forget domestic, corvette ls1's can push over 1000 hp, or you can get one made by lingenfelter with 800+hp with a factory warrenty-0-60 1.97 seconds- 8-9.00 second quartermile
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
and they probebaly have a top speed of around 230-240 mph
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
a stock c5 corvette can do almost 185- with 350 hp- even more in the 405hp zo6- put more than twice the power of a zo6 in a c5 and im almost positive itl do 230-240 mph
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
hmmm, last 10 secs showing the a/f ratio on wideband, looks like he kinda lean it out a bit, showing 12:3-12:7-12:8 start at 5K rpm to red line...that's not good :(
  - turboboost23 on Thursday, January 30, 2003
i know a lingenfelter edition corvette is expensive, but seriusly, how much do you think it cost to make a supra 634 rwhp? its still not warrentied for a long time (i think 2 years) and the vette still puts out more power, over 800 hp without nos. thats impresive
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
wow matt03, that wasnt kool, are you some sort of dummy ass goat?
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
you know what matt 03 ou are a discrass to the human race. That was so mean i cant believe that someone dildo nosed man would say that. ps: By the way rippie74, u are an asshole when it comes to cars
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
sorry that was my gay(not really) friend, which also goes by the name of matt03-
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
they make 500 hp lingenfelters and they cost about $10,000 for THE HOLE PACKEGE, as in you drive in 350 hp, you pick it up a week or a month later, and WALLA! its 500-800 hp, its not just the engine that gets modded, brand new huge tires, huge racing brakes, tranny upgrades, clutch....basicaly the works, if you were to "just put in a turbo and fuel system" the car would suck!
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
lol
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
lol
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
im not just talking about lingenfelters, take a c5, put a "turbocharger on it and fual upgrade" and they can easily make 600 hp, look at any site, look at www.corvettemike.com, he has a supercharger SYSTEM fo $6000 that can upgrage a vette with a high preshure pully to 700 hp on pump gas
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003
matt shut the fuck up
  - philjr on Thursday, January 30, 2003

rippie---again YOUR the fucken ass hole!! blown= supercharged...yes...but supercharges does not=turbocharged!!! DUMB FUCK he is talking about it is not a good idea to turbo a 5.0 because it is not as efitient, alot of...sound it out rippie turbo l a g... superhcargers are right their when you need it and they are much more powerfull in mid..low rang, much more than turbo...turbo only(continud)
  - philjr on Tuesday, February 04, 2003
are good in the high end, supercharged are better for quartermile and acceleration, turbo is more for highway running.
  - philjr on Tuesday, February 04, 2003
rippi i know that superchargers are limitted by belts, and turbos arent- but the turbos have turbo lag-like i said
  - philjr on Tuesday, February 11, 2003
im pretty sure i said this b4, i dont drive rice shit- honda- toyota- mitsu(eclipes awd is ok) i have a 1999 corvette convertible with a borla exahst and duel k+n filters 6-speed
  - philjr on Tuesday, February 11, 2003
lol that you brote that up, my dad has a 1987 grandnational completly stock, he bought it origional w/origonal tires-rims, only 17,000 miles, let me tell you that thing pulls hard!
  - philjr on Tuesday, February 18, 2003
so how come lets say a supra takes forever to spool up, when a blower mustang or anything just goes, im talking about when you first hit the gas, the blower should be faster, thats all, some turbos have almost nolag thought, i know that my dads gn dosnt have much of any turbo lag
  - philjr on Tuesday, February 18, 2003
thanks for the info, i wouldent want to do that to my dads, i am going to be looking for a used one soon, and do you know the location of "turbo people" since i live in ny, 2 hours south of albany, in dutchess county. 1000 hp out of a v-6 gn sounds extremly sick it must smoke the tires on a dyno...lol
  - philjr on Wednesday, February 19, 2003
great thanks for the info- phil
  - philjr on Friday, February 21, 2003
hey philjr that over a 100k for that lingenfelter vette. you can put a 1/4 of that in a supra and have that. and I think the record for a stock bottom-end supra is 958rwhp. that just with bolt-ons and some headwork. stock internals. don't get me wrong though. I'm a big fan of the lingenfelter stuff. I have a lot of vids on his stuff.
  - allstokhonda on Saturday, August 23, 2003
another supra vs. domestic cars again? for the love of god. american cars make GOOD HP. but the dumbass keep on saying that, yes it's cheaper for american cars to make power. but we're in the business of having fun. IT's THE FUN OF TUNING your CAR TO MAX. not how fast u can get to 1000hp. if u want. please strap on a jet engine. u'll make 5000hp real fast. IMPORT=fun we're in it for the love of tu
