  - Ph00ny on Sunday, December 07, 2003
oh....i thought the GTP came with optional manual tranny. ;(

Still driven by the wrong wheels!
  - Antian26 on Sunday, December 07, 2003
So this would mean that theres a supercharger and a turbocharger on that thing... lol. Talk about force induction!
  - jordan_michael on Sunday, December 07, 2003
Kinda funny to watch. Don't know that you could, or would want to, turbo and supercharge an engine.
  - alawton on Sunday, December 07, 2003
twincharging or "compound" forced induction is possible, but you really need to know what the hell youre doing to do it right. can someone say LSD for this car?

This is proof that you can make anything do anything with the right amount of money.

I sent this video to show that this car can make great power. this particular car is not street legal, however there are some gtp's out there that run low 12's high 10's and still carry mom and dad to the kids pta meeting at school!

love the sound of the turbo..but not to sure about the wheelie bar. FWD and a mid 10-11 sec car seems unnecessary and the car looked pretty flat off the launch.
  - WRXPWR on Monday, December 08, 2003
The wheelie bar is there to keep the car flat, because front wheel drive isnt the best setup for drag raceing. That bar keeps the weight front bias as much as possible for less slip and more grip. And no guys the car isnt "turbo/supercharged" just turbo. I dont say much on the other forums but some of you guys are completely clueless when it comes to car performance!
  - Andrewology on Monday, December 08, 2003
Andrewology, don't be a dick...there have been several turbo/supercharged engines built by different guys in different cars.
  - oik47 on Monday, December 08, 2003
It is correct that the car is a single turbo set up, and that the wheelie bar is there to keep the front tires on the ground. So far this car has ran a 10.674 in the quarter, with only 22lb's of boost I think. 9's are on the way for this thing :)
  - blitzu on Monday, December 08, 2003
I'd say the wheelie bar would help a lighter faster car like some of the IDRC/NHRA Hondas or maybe if that car was in the 8-9 second range. But that GTP is automatic front engine front wheel drive and it weighs almost 4000 lbs and that bar barely even moves when that thing takes off..remove it and I'd bet youd run the same times.

We need to see more top gear videos. I hope Jeremy will drive the Enzo and give his opinion about it like Tiff did.
  - longwalk on Monday, December 08, 2003
Actually that GTP weighs about 2900lbs I believe... you should check it out, it will be a 9 or 8 sec car next year. www.INTENSE-racing.com

that car sounds sweeeeet :) kinda sounds like the turbo busa thats on here
  - philjr on Wednesday, December 10, 2003
this car sounds crazzzy!
  - doorsslammin on Wednesday, December 10, 2003
I've seen this car run in person. Broke a belt on one run and still ran a 10 after shutting it down. It's turbo'd only, and it does have a beefed up auto tranny with an LSD.

Damn I have a GTP, but i only run a 13.86s
