Not bad, That Viper was pretty impressive. Not bad at all.

ROFLAO--Drifting has to be one of the dumbest things I've seen. Right up there with mud-bogs. Oh well at least you see a Viper.

i dont like vipers, they are great cars, but its pretty cool i think to see one do drifting. u dont usually see that, now all u guys need is one of them dodge ram srt's doing some! hopefully it wont be like the Evo and roll over

Ironically, big-torque RWD domestics are ideal for drifting, but this is the first domestic I've seen go at it.
  - ti286 on Thursday, May 06, 2004
it's ideal to get your rear wheel loose, but I am not sure if it's ideal for control the drift (suspension setting).
  - clee19821013 on Thursday, May 06, 2004
yea exactly, imports usually have more emphasis on suspension & car control rather than pure hp & torque like domestics. But something like the viper, or a z06 would be a blas to hang the ass end out on.

I'm not really a fan of drifting but that viper really gets a quality slide on the backend of the track a couple times.
  - demoniac on Thursday, May 06, 2004
hahahaha...comparing drifting and mud-bogs. lol Creative, man. I love watching drift, at least interesting cars with good sounds, but it is kind of ummmm....pointless? You would think that since the only time that is the fastest way around a track is in rally, they would have more Rally/Drift events.

HFS it's a competition coupe! Man, that video made me smile. I would've liked to hear more engine, but the funk made it entertaining, too. The best part is when they are both coming at the camera and the AE86 is in front, the Viper sticks out like a foot on either side of it. I would like to see some better views, though.

Yea, its pretty crazy. Dodge is entering a viper for drifting competitions now. Trying to reach that market and improve their image. They even have a pic of their drifting Viper in their mag ads.

Haha you know what would be funnier to see in this video is one of them wrecking, just like that EVO video were the EVO bits the dust. but hey that was cool video and for all you people out there say drifting is for the dogs, you all suck. it was made to have fun and if you have ever drifted before you would know what a great feeling it is to put your car side ways.
  - Phydrad on Thursday, May 06, 2004
Shortys...What's pointless about having fun?? Yes it is a totally different objective than most timed motorsport events, but that doesn't make it inferior, it just means not everybody likes the same thing.
  - oik47 on Thursday, May 06, 2004
haha, drifting can suck it, that video was crap
  - adi_malka on Thursday, May 06, 2004
It's entertaining to watch for a bit. It's really fun to do (and challenging) but not all that fun to watch for much longer than that. Although there are some CRAZY videos and friends I have seen that is fun to watch. I guess living in SoCal can brainwash you sometimes.

Lame video of the year award here. Too many damn hicks making noise in the background. Plus the viper sucks. They never should have let the Neon mate with the Ram pickup it was bound to be a disaster.
  - jrongish on Thursday, May 06, 2004
I did say it was pointless, as it is considerably slower than grip racing...but it is hella fun. I like watching it and attempting to do it.
  - ShortysTRM on Friday, May 07, 2004
worst video ever. Not for content, but for watchability, which is zero. The drifting Viper is cool with the piles of smoke following it around. I'm not sure how drifting "races" work but it was cool to see the old 86 right with a Viper.
